Dispensers
What are the types of filtration and what does the water taste like?

At Newport we offer two broad filtration options which often determine the taste.

We call these options ‘filtered’ or ‘purified’. Filtered gives you a taste similar to a standard Brita filter jug or tap filter.

Purified gives you a purified bottled water taste – clean, light, crisp.

What makes bottle-less options better than bottled options?

Convenience

  • No more lifting, storing or changing heavy bottled water.
  • No more running out of water or late, intrusive deliveries.

Budget

  • Enjoy one fixed rate irrespective of hot days, number of meetings or peak periods
  • Enjoy one fixed rate irrespective of break-downs, repairs or replacements – no surprise charges
  •

Aesthetics

  • Sleek, world-class design that enhances any environment

Environment

  • It takes 4 times as much water to produce a plastic bottle as it does to fill it!
  • Eliminate plastic and packaging associated with bottled water
  • Eliminate emissions from thousands of bottled water deliveries being done everyday
  • Eliminate the cost and additional transport required for recycling efforts.

Health/Wellbeing

  • Contact-less features to protect against spread of Covid
  • The best in hygiene through advanced technology and design
  • Lifting heavy water bottles can cause injury
Is the quality better than bottled water or how does it compare?

We genuinely believe so. However, the variety of filtration processes, transportation and handling processes and bottled water sources (springs, wells, tap water) makes a direct comparison with the water from Newport dispensers and bottled water quite challenging. According to a study, 64% of bottled water comes from the tap. Every reputable purified water bottle water sourced from the tap passes through the same or similar level of filtration that we use. However, consider that from a quality perspective, we’ve eliminated the packaging, extended storage and transportion elements which increase the chances of contamination. We believe we afford an unparalleled level of freshness with your water being purified minutes or seconds before being dispensed into your glass bottle or mug.

Are the dispensers available for sale/outright purchase?

Newport dispensers are made available to clients on an all-inclusive subscription package which includes initial assessment of your facilities, installation*, break-fix service calls, sanitizations, and technological up-grades.

How is the service schedule determined?

This is based upon the environment and the capacity of the filtration
deployed.

Is there a charge for maintenance?

Under our all-inclusive subscription package, maintenance and service calls are free.

Does Newport's systems and filtration comply with any local bureau of standards?

At Newport, we hand-pick equipment from reputable, leading-edge
international manufacturers. We then apply our regional knowledge
and experience to test this equipment in our local markets and ensure
alignment and compatibility.

What happens in the event of a disruption in water supply?

Newport dispensers depend on the local potable water supply to purify and dispense drinking water. In the unlikely event that your facility doesn’t have a water tank and the water goes off, your drinking water supply will be interrupted.

How many people can a single dispenser serve?

There is not a straight forward answer to this one – our dispensers produce approx. 30-35 litres of chilled water per hour (lph) and 6 litres of hot water per hour. We have dispensers in offices serving 20 plus people and some serving 60+ people.

Factors to consider are: How much hot water does your team consume?
— If you have
more than 30 staff, a dedicated  boiling water dispenser might be the
way to go…

Is your team using bottles or cups to fill up? If bottles, what size?
— Our best average would be 30-40 people per dispenser.

Is it safe if I have water tanks?

If your water continuously flows through your tanks, yes!

We strongly recommend against having stagnant water sitting in reserve tanks.
This is an unsafe practice even aside from drinking water.

Are cups specific to newport dispensers?

The integrated cup dispensers on our machines fit many standard 7oz
cups.
